What Salesforce is Supporting

Salesforce is dedicated to giving back to the communities where we live and work. This year, we are supporting Journey Home Hospice Toronto, specifically caring for patients and their loved ones experiencing homelessness and structural vulnerability at end-of-life. 

At Journey Home Hospice, they strive to create a compassionate and welcoming environment for our patients, ensuring they can spend their final days with dignity and care. Your contribution helps the hospice to provide trauma-informed, culturally safe, and harm-reducing approaches to end-of-life care, all within a home-like setting.

As you may know, many individuals experiencing homelessness face tremendous challenges, particularly at the end of life. For these individuals, the desire to die at home often remains unfulfilled, leaving them without the comfort of companionship or care. Since Journey Home Hospice Toronto was founded in 2018, they have been dedicated to addressing this critical need for care that encompasses the whole person. Their mission is not just about providing medical care; it’s about offering solace, respect, and a sense of belonging during life’s most difficult moments.

Your generous gift allows the hospice to enhance their programs, from wellness activities to volunteer services, and to provide fresh, comforting meals that cater to our patients’ preferences. It creates an environment where everyone is treated with kindness and dignity, embodying a spirit of love and compassion.

In the words of a former patient, Paul, “I came here to Journey Home with nothing, and I was given so much – more than I ever could have dreamed. People don’t think that a fresh pair of pyjamas or watching your favourite old TV show whenever you want are a big deal. But after being homeless these things are a huge gift to me. Even though I know I don’t have much time, I do feel like myself again.” Together, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of the most vulnerable in our community, ensuring they are not forgotten.

By making a gift tot Journey Home Hospice Toronto, you will be bringing hope and happiness into the lives of patients when it is most needed. Donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt from the Saint Elizabeth Foundation and go directly to patient programs and services.

• $10 - sponsor freshly prepared meal
• $15 - sponsor Netflix or Spotify for the month for one patient 
• $20 - sponsor a wellness program like gentle exercise or chair yoga
• $35 - sponsor new pajama or lounge wear sets for patients
• $50 - sponsor a music or art therapy session for patients
• $100 - sponsor Pizza Night for our patients 
• $350 - sponsor Theme Night fun, food, and entertainment
• $500 - sponsor holiday meal for patients and families
